NewsletterDear Customer,
Hello Vintners & Brewers and Newcomers. Yes, I know this newsletter is a little late. Thanks to all of you, we have been very busy here stocking you up for the hot summer days. There is so much going on in our Industry with new products being released all the time. Now on the Golden side of things, I have never entered any of my wines in any small or large competition since I opened the shop in 1996, so I decided that this year I would enter 3 of my wines in the largest Amateur wine competition in the USA, well we won ! A Bronze and a Silver medal for our two white wines, and a "GOLD MEDAL" for our very unique "Fire in Ice" that we created with hot peppers from Oyama, the judges were impressed. Come in and read some of the tasting results. Quote: An Ice wine with attitude, Franks Hot Sauce Company would be proud. So, you can tell all your friends that you make your wines at a International Award Winning shop....ok, enough bragging, but we do make the best brew on premises in the North Okanagan. We now have our 15 bottle wood wine crates back in stock. Please check out our website, as new and exciting information is constantly being updated. www.armstrongwineandbrew.com Thank you for all your comments and feedback on our website and newsletter, they are always welcomed and appreciated. So, pour a home brew, have a cheers to the sunshine and read on. Lisa & my great, great Staff www.armstrongwineandbrew.com

Red Meritage A Red Meritage is a blend of two or more of the red "noble" Bordeaux varieties — Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot and the rarer St. Macaire, Gros Verdot and Carmenère. If the blend includes any other grape variety, it is, by definition, not a Meritage. Also, to qualify as a Meritage, no single grape variety can make up more than 90% of the blend. Winexpert’s 3 Continents Meritage combines Petit Verdot from Australia, Cabernet Sauvignon from California and Merlot from Chile to make a unique, globe-spanning vision of the quality a wine of the best varieties can truly possess. The 3 Continents Meritage will only be available in small quantities for a limited time, so don’t miss this rare opportunity to stock your cellar with this fabulous wine. Aromas of bright black cherries and blackcurrant with soft notes of licorice, hints of cedar and herbs accented by a touch of mocha and vanilla complement rich flavours of chocolate dipped black fruit and notes of sweet oak. Structured, ripe tannins are followed by a long, fruit-driven finish. Sweetness: DRY | Body: MEDIUM-FULL | Oak Intensity: HEAVY BC Chardonnay British Columbia is at the forefront of new, New-World Chardonnays, with a crisp, bright style that’s perfectly balanced for food or casual sipping. Pale yellow, with fresh mineral and citrus flavours, notes of pear, white peach, green apple and fine acidity lead to a long, creamy finish with notes of honey. This wine can be left unoaked, for the cutting edge of the New World style of racy drink-ability, or gently oaked to add notes of vanilla, smoke and butterscotch, along with a lengthened structure and sophisticated finish. The British Columbia Chardonnay will only be available in small quantities for a limited time, so don’t miss this rare opportunity to stock your cellar with this fabulous wine. Sweetness: DRY | Body: MEDIUM-FULL | Oak Intensity: LIGHT
